The Entertainment of Money Can Be Desultory

The entertainment of money can be desultory
so make yourself modest and quiet, coming, going.

The desultory effect of money can be entertaining.
Leave sacks of circulated bills in parks near the old statues,
finders keepers.

The effect of upholding yourself, without thought to cost,
might be the clothes you're no longer wearing,
you and your girlfriend, the big look of fate you're sharing.

The museums. The great old cars. All that history of pennies in jars.
